Walla Walla winemaker offers new chardonnay

By the Herald staffAugust 7, 2013

Walla Walla winemaker Charles Smith, who owns K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines and Secco Italian Bubbles, and New York City wine innovator Charles Bieler have launched a chardonnay from the Columbia Valley under their Charles & Charles brand.

Their inaugural white wine joins a Washington grown and produced dry ros and a cabernet blend.

"Our chardonnay is the crossroads where power meets finesse," Bieler said in a statement. "And the label is like a big bright stop sign that says grab me and take me home."

The 2012 Charles & Charles Chardonnay retails for $12.
