Appellation: Columbia Valley
This blend of red Rhône varieties shows a lot of class, and this winery in Burien donates a significant percentage of its proceeds to food banks. Cheryl Jones, one of Washingtons most experienced winemakers, skillfully blended Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenach and Petit Verdot. It first attracts attention with its glass-coating purple hue and aromas of blueberry and moist clay. The pleasing structure of juicy acidity and easy tannins takes in more blueberries, some blackberry and a finish of black truffle. Won a gold medal at the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Rated Outstanding by GreatNorthwestWine.com. (14.3 percent alcohol)
